OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
Eco-sustainable Architecture
Is there anything more tangible than Architecture and Engineering?
It’s a built environment.
And architects and engineers are, by definition, reality-changing artists. Their work – whether it is an object, a building, or an urban plan – is born, grows, and lives immersed in the surrounding world, reshaping the future.
For centuries, Architecture and Engineering have been building aiming for Beauty, Appearance, Power, and Functionality. Now, through a relentless process of learning, they are becoming capable of ACTING sustainably, combining with great commitment the timeless ideals with today’s and tomorrow’s challenges, driven by a new holistic sensitivity towards the globalised environment, integrating art and engineering, biology and statistics, social sciences and politics.
We design for the community and the environment
We are confident that there is no other choice: you either believe in this opportunity and invest time, resources, and intelligence to implement it, or the struggle for an effective energy transition and a new materiality of urban space is as good as lost.
We are likewise confident that Sustainability is a VALUE in financial terms as well. Indeed, Green Architecture, along with the ability to build infrastructures with reduced greenhouse gas emissions and to optimise the use of energy resources, yields benefits by reducing costs, increasing the commercial value of properties and structures, and improving the well-being of those who use them, thereby reconnecting people with the environment.
Among human activities, environments built using traditional methods are a major source of harmful emissions in the atmosphere, producing one-third of energy-based global emissions – a share that increases when considering those related to water and waste. Architecture and Engineering are, therefore, largely responsible for our planet’s environmental degradation, and their role as key players in Climate Change cannot be denied – and neither can their responsibility to be part of the solution.
We do not lack the tools to tackle the acceleration of the climate crisis. Throughout the entire production chain, from the initial, immaterial idea to the implementation of the project and beyond, there are stakeholders who embrace this compelling, inescapable new way of acting with a long-term vision. They must be able to recognise and connect with one another through a virtuous network, which also includes informed customers aware of both short- and long-term benefits, as well as the Certifications that help define their benchmarks.

We carry on this revolutionary, improved version of Architecture and Engineering with commitment: we choose eco-compatible materials, promote the transition to renewable energies for the gradual reduction of fossil fuel use, conceive forms by adopting bio-climatic design practices, utilise advanced, smart technologies to cut down energy and water consumption and create waste-free solutions, place the work back in its own context with its future users in mind, transforming the works and the communities who surround and experience them into places of human and environmental well-being.
We provide smart solutions to enable the monitoring and optimisation of what is designed and implemented
Moreover, we firmly believe that building according to the criteria of sustainable Architecture means that the work and commitment do not end with the closing of a construction site, but continue over time with monitoring, which plays a pivotal role in the long-term achievement of three goals:
- optimisation of energy efficiency
- reduction of natural resource consumption
- minimising polluting emissions
We act in a sustainable way and think Cradle-to-Cradle
It is our approach, as opposed to the Cradle-to-Grave model, and in order to comply with the fundamental principles of a circular economy, we use BIM (Building Information Modelling), the digital technology that enables integrated design throughout the entire life cycle of a building or structure.
Every new residential or commercial building, every infrastructural work, and every renovation of existing structures represents our enduring legacy, a mark of our passage, and a symbol of humanity’s beautiful and astounding ability to bring about positive impact and global change.
An Architecture desired by a new man, smart but not almighty, capable of learning from Nature, who interacts with it and respects it. His ambition is to imitate its ability to transform without a margin of error and to regenerate in the eternal birth-death-regeneration cycle.
