Description:
The Via Sostegno redevelopment project took place in the following context:
the historical ‘back’ of the railway station, which is now a central place and the new ‘gateway’, and the town’s main opportunity for urban development. The project is part of a series of interventions related to railway works, with the primary goal of improving intermodality and access to services, such as: new furnishings and the redevelopment of the underground passage and station areas, raising of all the track pavements, eliminating architectural barriers, and enhancing accessibility to and from the underground station.
